Wedding Reception Program

Using Your Choice of Music and working with you your Wedding DJ will make sure you and your guests have a fun and exciting time. Your A Sunset Entertainment Wedding Disc Jockey will plan, coordinate, make announcements, play your choice of music and do lots of fun things to get your guests up and dancing.

• Prior to your event

Your Sunset DJ will have a telephone consultation with you to cover all the details of your event and answer any questions you might have. Our friendly and knowledgeable customer service staff will also be available to assist you with planning and coordinating your event.

• Equipment Setup

At no additional charge your Sunset DJ will setup all the necessary equipment.

• Prior to the Arrival of Bride and Groom

Your Sunset DJ will begin playing light wedding reception background music and be available to great your guests as they will usually be arriving before the Bride and Groom. Your Sunset DJ will let your guests know of any seating arrangements, gift tables, and sign in logs. The DJ will also let them know about any food or beverage services that might be available. At this time the DJ will also take on any lighter requested songs the guests would like to hear before the event gets started. This way we make sure that your event gets started off smoothly right from the beginning.

• Bridal Party Introduction

Upon arrival of the Bridal Party your Sunset DJ will line up all who are to be introduced. This provides us a great opportunity to re-check the Wedding Party Planner with those who are to be introduced for proper pronunciation and line up. Your DJ will then introduce your Bridal Party into the room to a round of applause.

• Grand Entrance of the Bride and Groom

When you are ready your DJ will bring the crowd to their feet and introduce the Bride and groom into the room to a large round of applause as the New Mr. & Mrs!

• Your First Dance as Husband and Wife

Following your introduction your DJ will play the song of your choice for your First Dance together as husband and wife. Traditionally the Bridal Party will join in half way through the first dance. It is always your choice to have them do so. In some cases only the Bride and Groom will dance to the first dance song, then a separate song is chosen for the traditional Bridal Party Dance.

• The Father Daughter Dance

The Groom will step aside one last time and the Bride and her Father will dance to the father daughter dance song of their choice.

• The Mother Son Dance

The Groom and his Mother will dance to the mother son dance song of their choice.

• Toast by the Best Man

Your Sunset DJ will invite the Best Man to make a toast to the Bride and Groom. You are welcome to have your DJ invite as many people as you would like for a round of toasting. Many couples also invite their clergy to lead a prayer before dinner.

• Dinner

Your Sunset DJ will announce dinner and lead your guests to either be seated for a sit down served meal or make their way to the buffet table. Any other specific dining arrangements can be announced as well. A mix of your choice of background music will be played during the meal.

• Dancing

After dinner its time to start the dancing. Your Sunset DJ will get everyone out of their seats and on to their feet. Usually the dancing is kicked off with some fun wedding reception participation activities. Suggested activities to start with are the Conga Line, Party Train and the Electric slide. These work great to get anyone moving and are a lot of fun. You can always choose to have your Sunset DJ do more, less or even no participation if you would like. It's always your choice! Following participation is a great mix of your choice of music. We get all ages up having a great time.

• Bouquet and Garter Toss

Your Sunset DJ will invite all single ladies and men to the dance floor or area of your choice. Your DJ will gather up all single ladies in one area behind the Bride. On a count of three the Bride will toss the Bouquet, the first lady to catch it is the next to get married. After the toss your Sunset DJ will have the Bride sit in a chair and have the Groom remove the Garter. All single men will be gathered up and upon a count of three the Groom will toss the Garter their way. The first single man to catch the Garter will be the next to get married. Traditionally your Sunset DJ will have the man who caught the Garter replace it on the leg of the lady who caught the Bouquet. Following that, they will join in a dance together. This as well as all aspects of your event is always your choice!

• Cutting of the Cake

After a bit more dancing your Sunset DJ will direct the Bride and Groom and the attention of your guests to the cake table. Your Sunset DJ will lead you in the traditional Cutting of the Wedding Cake ceremony.

• Dancing

Following the Cake Cutting your Sunset DJ will get everyone back out to the dance floor for some more fun. You can choose to have just dancing or a mix of participation as well.

• Grand Exit

At the end of the reception your DJ will announce the last song. Then after, direct the attention of the crowd to your exit.

• After your Wedding Reception

Once your event is over the DJ will finish out the last song then take down and remove their equipment at no additional charge.
